WHAT: Pet Fun Fest and Adopt A Pet-a-thon, a groundbreaking public event bringing together animal lovers and pet welfare communities for a tail-wagging and illuminating experience. Meet and learn about pocket pets, cats and dogs of different sizes, shapes and colours, all waiting for someone with a big heart to bring them home.
Also featured: Guest speakers, demos, seminars, vendors and speed-dating sessions. PLUS – with an eye on the Guinness Book therell be an attempt at the Canadian record for the largest simultaneous mass Stay, with some 200 dogs.
WHEN: Saturday, February 13, 10:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Studio 3, Downsview Park, 40 Carl Hall Road, Toronto, ON M3K 2C1
WHY: To spread awareness of the wonderful world of companion animals and to help homeless pets.
ADMISSION: Both ends of the leash are invited to the FIRST indoor pet show that allows dogs, a must-go event for all pet lovers.
$5.00 per human | $2.00 per dog | $15.00 per family
(Family maximum: 6 humans, dogs)
Note: Each dog must have one handler.

Notice to people writing or making presentations to the Budget Committee: The City of Toronto Act, 2006 and the City of Toronto Municipal Code authorize the City of Toronto to collect any personal information in your communication or presentation to City Council or its committees.
The City collects this information to enable it to make informed decisions on the relevant issue(s). If you are submitting letters, faxes, e‑mails, presentations or other communications to the City, you should be aware that your name and the fact that you communicated with the City will become part of the public record and will appear on the City’s website. The City will also make your communication and any personal information in it – such as your postal address, telephone number or e-mail address – available to the public, unless you expressly request the City to remove it.
The City videotapes committee and community council meetings. If you make a presentation to a committee or community council, the City will be videotaping you and City staff may make the video tapes available to the public.

GreenSceneZ Toronto
GreenSceneZ is a video challenge designed to give Toronto’s youth an opportunity to express their passion for the environment and help inspire Torontonians to live green, is being launched for its second year.
Youth in grades 7 through 12 at Toronto schools are invited to submit their idea for a 30-second ‘live green’ video on a storyboard; no previous video or filmmaking experience is required. Six winning teams will have the opportunity to work with professional filmmakers at Planet in Focus to turn their great green message into a 30-second video.
Winning videos will premiere at the 2010 Green Toronto Awards and be featured on the Live Green Toronto website at livegreentoronto.ca for all of Toronto to see.
The deadline to enter is December 18, 2009, and details and entry forms are available at livegreentoronto.ca. Winners must be available to attend a video production camp during March Break, from March 15-19, 2010.
