Ledbury Park Off-Leash Area
Ledbury Park has been used by dog owners since the mid 1990’s as the need for off-leash areas increased in the former City of North York. In 2007, upon the approval of the Off-Leash Policy by City Council, the residents of this neighborhood submitted a formal application to designate an area within Ledbury Park for dogs’ off-leash activites.
In 2008 after site review and assessment, staff held a public meeting and with the support of the community, Ledbury park was approved to move forward with construction of an off-leash area.
Ledbury Park provides over 1/2 acre of green space designated for off-leash dogs. The area is fenced in and provides a double gated entrance, accessible pathways, benches and is open for use between 7am and 10pm everyday. Due to the size of this location commercial dog walkers are not permitted.
The following rules govern the use of the off-leash area – Code of Conduct for Off-Leash Area
